Grgich Hills Estate

Grgich Hills Estate is an iconic Napa Valley winery, consistently producing world-class wines. Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko "Mike" Grgich first earned world-wide recognition when the Chardonnay he crafted won the 1976 Paris Tasting, beating the best of France. Mike then partnered with Austin Hills to open their family-owned-and-operated winery in 1977.

Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm our five estate vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, rely on wild yeast fermentation and use our passion and art to handcraft food-friendly, balanced and elegant wines.

You’re invited to visit one of the most personable wineries in Napa Valley for an extraordinary experience tasting great wines made naturally!

Our Tastings
We’re open daily from 9:30am to 4:30pm for tasting and sales with the exception of New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. We are a family-friendly winery that welcomes walk-in visitors in our main tasting room where you are surrounded by oak barrels and the seductive aromas of wine in various stages of development.
Reservations are not accepted for groups of 1-7 in the tasting room.
Reservations are required for groups of 8 or more. For these groups we are happy to offer large-group tastings for $35 per person- please call us for availability at (707) 963-2784 or email hospitality@grgich.com.

Grape Stomp
You are invited to jump in a barrel of freshly picked grapes and stomp away just like Miljenko “Mike” Grgich did as a child in Croatia! You’ll create a unique keepsake by putting your grape-stained feet on a white “I stomped at Grgich Hills” t-shirt. All guests 21+ will also enjoy a glass of Grgich Hills Estate wine in a monogrammed GoVino wine glass that you can take home as a souvenir.
Available August 19 – October 31, 2016, daily from 10 am – 4 pm.

$30 per person
Club Members: $20 per person
Under 21: $15 per person.
You are welcome to extend your experience with a wine tasting in our tasting room. Please note that reservations are required for groups of 8 or more.

Seated Tasting
Take a seat, relax, and enjoy a private tasting on our beautiful patio or in one of our exquisite rooms located in the winery. Your host will guide you through five limited production and specialty wines paired with artisan cheeses.
$50 per person. Please allow 45 minutes for this experience. Reservations are required.

The Unforgettable
This unforgettable experience designed by Vintners Hall of Fame inductee Miljenko “Mike” Grgich, starts in our educational vineyard and follows the path of our estate grown grapes from vine to bottle. You’ll discover why Mike calls this journey, “From our vineyards to your glass, naturally!” The tour concludes with a seated tasting of cheeses paired perfectly with five limited production and specialty wines.

The Exclusive
Enjoy an intimate and exclusive tasting of Grgich Hills Estate’s best-kept secrets. Your personal host will guide you through a personalized flight of six older vintage and limited production wines paired with artisan cheeses. This is your chance to taste and purchase wines that are rarely released from our winery vault.
$90 per person. Please allow 90 minutes for this experience. Reservations are required. Winery tour can be added to this experience for no extra cost, but must be requested in advance.
